Frequently Asked Questions

You do not have to be in crisis or have everything figured out to start therapy. Many people begin therapy because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or want support navigating a difficult season of life.
Therapy can be helpful if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, burnout, perfectionism, eating concerns, or simply feel like you want to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
-
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from counseling. We will explore your current challenges, your background, and what support would be most helpful.
You do not need to have the perfect words or know exactly what you want to work on. We will figure that out together.

Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is an important part of the therapy process. It is important that you feel comfortable, understood, and supported in the space we create together.
The first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore what you are hoping to work on. We will take time to build a relationship, understand your experiences, and determine whether my approach feels aligned with what you need.
I also believe therapy works best when it is collaborative. Throughout our work together, I will check in regularly about how therapy feels for you, what is or is not feeling helpful, and whether we need to adjust our approach. Your feedback and comfort are an important part of the process.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe being yourself, where you feel heard, and where we can work together toward meaningful change.

Yes. I offer both in-person therapy in Denver’s Platt Park/University area and virtual therapy throughout Colorado.
Some clients prefer the connection and routine of meeting in person, while others appreciate the flexibility and convenience of virtual sessions. You are welcome to choose the format that feels most supportive for you, and we can also combine both options depending on your needs and schedule.
My goal is to make therapy accessible and create a setting where you feel comfortable, engaged, and able to do meaningful work—whether we meet in the office, online, or a combination of both.

Yes. I am in-network with United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).
For other insurance plans, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary depending on your specific plan, so I recommend checking with your insurance provider regarding your out-of-network mental health benefits.
I am unable to provide superbills for Cigna plans. If you have questions about insurance coverage or payment options, please feel free to reach out.

Individual therapy sessions are $175 per session.
I believe therapy should be accessible, and I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on availability. Sliding scale rates are offered at a reduced fee for clients who may have financial barriers to accessing therapy.
For clients using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement (excluding Cigna plans).
If cost is a concern, please feel free to reach out and ask about current availability. We can discuss options and determine whether my practice may be a good fit.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions because consistent support can help build momentum and create meaningful change. However, therapy is personalized, and the frequency of sessions can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, progress, and what feels manageable for you.
If weekly therapy does not feel like the right fit due to scheduling, finances, or personal preference, that is okay. We can discuss what frequency of sessions would best support you and create a plan that feels sustainable.
-
Feeling nervous is completely normal. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to handling things on your own.
My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as yourself. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.

I provide virtual therapy for clients located throughout Colorado. Due to licensing requirements, I can only provide therapy to clients who are physically located in Colorado at the time of their session.
